Very complete but possibly confusing controls

This beautiful drop-in range was purchased because of the excellent service our very identical GE range, purchased 21 years ago, provided. However, the old range required a 29 inch opening for its installation. The new range requires a 30 inch opening which, in turn, required our counter to be physically altered. This was an unexpected problem which caused an installation delay.

I like the glass top, it is the first time I have had one. However, I did not know that it would require special care and require special cookware. Also in spite of careful measuring, this oven did not fit in my cabinetry and I had to have a carpenter come in and make it fit. Had I known, I would have had the cabinet altered to allow a slide in model and saved some money.

We just replaced our 26 year old drop-in range with this beauty. The cooktop is awesome with every setting I need, love the fact that I can enter my oven temp digitally by pushing 3 buttons rather than up and down arrows to reach the temp, and the oven cooks exactly by recipe instructions! I didn't realize how much I had learned to compensate for my old oven. I can even hear the timer - it keeps signaling until I hear it and turn it off. Very, very happy with this purchase.

I have loved everything about the stove itself. However, it came without the stovetop cleaner that the booklet said it should have AND there was no accessory to cover the opening left under the stove unlike my old Frigidaire drop in.

I was very anxious about using electric for cooking, having always used gas in the past. The cook top is beautiful, cleans easily, and it ended up being the perfect purchase. It did take 2-3 months to arrive though, but it was extenuating circumstances

This stove replaced an 18 year old Maytag and we could not be happier. The design features with the total flat top and angle control panel is a great improvement over our old stove and anything we had seen on the market. it warms to temperature quickly and cools down fairly fast as well. A superb product at a very reasonable price.

Requires placement of 2 screws into lower edge of slot for drop in. Installers weren't adept at this feature
If not for replacing the exact model I would have preferred a free standing model.

The oven is very deep and wide. I love the digital clock because it lights up my kitchen so much that I do not have to use a night light.

The glass is larger than the original GE drop in.
Bakes well and updated the look of my kitchen. There is an adjustment to using the flat top versus coil burners

Wish I'd replaced my original drop-in oven earlier than prior to a house sale. Drop-in oven/ranges are difficult to find. This 30" wide oven was narrow enough to fit the countertop of my 1978 galley kitchen. It uses the space well. I hope to try it out soon.

My only disappointment replacing my 25+ year old GE drop in with this one, the only drop-in available on the market, was that it didn't fit the cutout for the old drop in. So countertop cutting was required to make it fit and a patch panel had to be installed below it. We are happy with the functionality and appearance of the new range.

So the panel for the touch buttons went out pretty fast. It was under a warranty. Other than that Great! I hope and pray it's lasts forever and ever and ever. I wish it was black though. White. Ugly. White appliances in a kitchen should be banned.

I only gave 4 stars because I am a neat freak and having a black glass cook top I feel I need to clean it more often. I had a white metal stove top w/ coils before. I love that when the times up for the set cooking the oven automatically turns off, so no over cooking it if I didn't get it out right away.

Easy to install, looks good, works well. The control panel is ill-positioned, facing up too much, catches everything. I would have preferred a smooth top that was a little more granite looking as opposed to shiny glass. Shows every little drip, salt grain, etc. But this is all that was available. But if it keeps working I'll be happy.

Our old GE range we had for 23 years finally needed replacing, so we bought this one to replace it. What a world of difference. This new one has more room and more adjustability
in the oven. The smooth cooktop heats up quickly and is easy to clean. We love it!

I only gave this product 4 stars because I've only had it about a month. So far so good. My advice is this: If you're replacing an old drop in stove, make sure you get this professionally installed & have the installer do a pre-install inspection & measuring of your cabinet/counter. That way there won't be any surprises on installation day. You should also order the lower vent cover prior to installation as well. I did both & was glad.
