In my entire life, I've never had a microwave die on me until this one. I purchased it brand new and after 2.5 years, it turns on but does not heat (most likely the magnetron is out). This is unacceptable. Then they want to charge $110 for a service visit just to likely tell me I need a new one. Very disappointed.

Very nice basic microwave with enough bells-and-whistles to get the job done. Looks great! (Paper wall mount template has about 3/16-inch error for placement of hole "B" but luckily avoided any big problem.)

Really great microwave. One issue was it didn't have a manual or a complimentary cook book. Also, a backlight behind the selections would have nice. I still love the product and would purchase it again.

Awful don't buy only owned it 15 days but at first the replace filter light wouldn't go off, then the fan would not go off, now nothing works.

We barely use the microwave. May be couple times to warm up milk. The microwave made some scary lightening like sparks and sound and then stopped working. This was barely after 1 year of low use.

This microwave failed after 14 months GE would not stand behind the product.
I had to purchase a replacement. I purchased a complete house of GE appliances every one of the 6 products has had warranty work done on them some more than once.
I would not recommend GE to my worst enemy.

We replaced our old GE with this new one, the style and build quality are both great. The door does not feel like it is going to break when you close it and it is very easy to install and clean. The only thing we miss are the delay start feature and the vegetable reheat (frozen, canned, fresh) features

When I grew up there was no such thing as a microwave. Now if mine quits working It changes the way I eat and defrost food. I've always used GE microwaves and have always been satisfies with their performance. I really like the one touch buttons. I wouldn't buy anything else.

It works as expected. It does one weird thing where the overhead fan turned on by itself once and wouldn't turn off and another time I had turned the fan on and it wouldn't turn off. Both times I shut off the circuit power to stop it. Otherwise works fine.

Seems a little louder than my previous microwave.
Vent fan not particularly strong. Shows a lot of fingerprints mudging. Than microwaving capacity works very well and the features are great and easy to use! I hope this lasts as long as my previous model!

I just had my new GE microwave installed today and I love it! Have not really had a chance to use but a few of all the bells and whistles but I am sure that I will love all of them. I am especially looking forward to the melt button because melting chocolate etc. is always a challenge

This is a typical GE microwave, but I am a bit disappointed with this model (This unit replaces another GE unit 1.8 cu ft). This particular model does not have a night light feature (which I thought I checked in the specs), but it does have a Reset Filter option (really who cares about that). The beeper volume, even on loud, is not loud at all. This is apparent when using the timer feature and in another room. Why is the over the stove lighting still inadequate? At this point these should be LED and very bright. Also why did they change from the typical numeric keypad to the linear keypad? Also can GE standardize on a mounting method. I have owned several GE microwaves and now the bottom of my upper cabinet looks like swiss cheese with some many old holes that almost line up.

The panel directions are easy to see and read even in evening light in the kitchen. We love the display white backlighting for the timer that can be easily seen from the family room. The door handle design provides a secure hand grip. This grip is better than the curved shape handle that sometimes actually catch my little finger.
